A financial analyst by training and serial entrepreneur by calling, Sechaba founded the Scoody Geek Clothing Lab, a manufacturing company  supplying custom branded Scoodies (Scarfs with an attached hood) to corporates and events organizers for promotional purposes and as corporate gifts. Scoody currently exports it’s product to Australia, North America and various countries in Europe.

Sechaba also founded Africa Rebranded, a youth organization that facilitates annual intra-African cultural exchange programs for social entrepreneurs; which led to his selection as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum.

Sechaba’s most recent venture is ‘The Takkie Guy’, a sneaker laundry and shoe care franchise. Using an innovative model, ‘The Takkie Guy’ collects and delivers all the shoes that require cleaning, refurbishing within a household on a weekly or fortnightly basis. In addition, the is a growing network of ‘Takkie Guys’ providing it’s flagship “wash-&-go”, an instant shoe cleaning service, at malls, office buildings and outdoor events.

Sechaba has experience in small business development advisory, and played an integral role in designing an accelerator program for the Allan Gray-Orbis Foundation in 2016, which is one of only four of its kind on the African continent at the time.

Sechaba has contributed to the digital format of entrepreneur magazine, and spoken at various conferences and panel discussions. Sechaba holds an honours degree in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management from UCT.
